The PHONETIC READING CHAIN is an excellent reading program that should be used in all first and second grades to give every child a basic start in reading, spelling, and writing. Repetition is something education has not done in many years, and I feel each child needs this in their beginning years of learning; your program does this.

My son's success spurred my interest in becoming a tutor, but I needed to know if the PHONETIC READING CHAIN would be as effective when taught by a novice. At my request, Mrs. Schwendiman allowed me to tutor her son. Implementing the exercises of the daily format was easy because the PRC is so well-organized and complete. What parents say ...

A 4th grader at pre-primer level, our son made more stabilized progress during the first three months of the PHONETIC READING CHAIN instruction than he had made in the previous three years. He's reading multisyllabic words, his sight word spelling and writing have greatly improved, and he is retaining everything...thanks to the PRC's multisensory chaining techniques. EXCERPTS FROM THREE LETTERS

First letter:
I have a 10 year old daughter who was diagnosed with severe dyslexia one year ago. The IEP that we are involved with at school seems to be lacking in the basic phonetics instruction she needs. Everything I have read reinforces my thoughts. I happened upon a mother of a dyslexic child who used your PHONETIC READING CHAIN and raved about the results. She also mentioned another child who has benefited as well.

Second letter:
We have used the PRC for three weeks. Both Katie's classroom teacher and Special Education teacher have requested information of what "we are doing at home". It seems for the first time we are truly providing Katie with the right information to be able to learn to read.

Third letter:
We are in Unit 2. Katie's cumulative test results from Unit 1 were 100, 100, 96, and 93.6 percents. It is so wonderful to see positive changes as we continue. To say "thank you" for providing the PRC does not begin to tell you what I feel. Every day I feel blessed for having found your program.

When I was asked to read aloud at school, I'd say "I can't", or I'd just hang my head and say nothing at all.
